I thought Radagast was different, but...Interesting. I thought Radagast was different, but I was fine with him. Nutty and goofy. I felt like overall, the movie was intentionally different in tone from LotR--and I was happy with the difference. It's an earlier time in Middle Earth, when everything's not quite as gloomy. And The Hobbit (the book) is a children's book. It's not supposed to be as broody, or at least that was my take on it.<br /><br />As for the music, I didn't have any of that response. I loved it. Loved the returning motifs and cues from the first trilogy, the themes for the dwarves--it was all spot on for me.<br /><br />Not that me liking it and you disliking it makes either of us wrong or right, of course.
